Dean R. Zakos is of Counsel with Dempsey, Williamson, Kelly & Hertel, LLP.  Mr. Zakos formerly served as the Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Modine Manufacturing Company (NYSE:MOD), a $2 Billion diversified global manufacturing company.  He was admitted to the Wisconsin bar in 1979, and has been admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin. 

His practice focuses on a wide range of business, commercial and corporate issues.  Mr. Zakos has negotiated and coordinated the purchase or sale of numerous businesses and product lines, ranging in size from less than $100,000 to more than $120,000,000, both in the United States and in foreign countries.  He has advised boards of directors and management regarding compliance and governance issues, strategic planning, and board selection and succession planning.  He has counseled employers regarding employment matters.  He has designed and implemented state of the art strategies, forms, and committee structures and processes to manage intellectual property.  He has drafted numerous contracts, leases, licenses and technology transfer agreements.  He has assisted clients with supply chain and purchasing matters, including entry into foreign markets and foreign locations or distribution.  He has counseled clients on antitrust claims and sales representative and distributor issues.

Mr. Zakos is a licensed pilot and aircraft owner, and has served on the Board of Directors of the Racine Commercial Airport Corporation.
